Before the Lockdown and Online Shopping: Watsons Haul

How have you been doing so far? I've been cleaning every corner of the house and it has been exhausting. Thankfully, it has been helping me cope with the Coronovirus situation and keeping me productive.

One of the best ways I thought I could use the free time is to pay more attention to self-care. Hence, I did quite a bit of shopping at Watsons before the lockdown and the products I got are so useful in taking care of myself more.

Here are all the items I got:

1. First-Aid Items

2. De Luxe Hair Masks

I`ve been using these hair masks because they`re on sale at Watsons in my area. I can use each sachet for up to 3 uses because my hair is quite thin.

3. Purederm Deep Purifying Black Oxygen Bubble Mask

Purederm`s Deep Purifying Black O2 Bubble Mask was a fun experience when I first tried it out. I love how this cleanse and purify my skin. I could honestly see visible results after using this mask.

4. Mosbeau Placenta Collagen: Jelly Food Supplement | Horse Placenta + Fish Collagen with L-cystine

I used this last year and the effect was very noticeable. I have observed that it gave my skin lightening and glowing effect which I really loved. I stopped using it because it's quite expensive for me.

I tried it again and like last time, the results are amazing. I initially planned to use this for at least 3-4 consecutive months for enhanced effectivity. Sadly, because of the lockdown, I'm on limited budget and I could barely go out.

Nonetheless, I'm still thrilled and satisfied with the effect this product gave my skin.

5. Watsons` Anti-ageing Milk & Salt Body Scrub

I usually use Abonne's body scrubs but Watsons' Anti-ageing Milk & Body Scrub is also effective in cleansing and removing of dead skin at the same time less expensive

6. Nose Packs, Pore Care Items and Hand Creme

Before I discovered other nose care products, I've been using iWhite Skin's nose pack. It has been so effective in removing unwanted white and blackheads. Though it's effective, it's not always easy to use it because it takes about 1-2 hours of my time. Hence, I discovered that Charcoal Nose Pore Strips can be as effective as Charcoal Masks.

Body Treats' Nose Pore Strips has been so helpful specially when I'm busy because it only takes not more than 25 minutes to get rid of those unwanted skin impurities.

I also bought Beautytrends' Nose Pack to check its effectivity. 

All in all, I'm glad all 3 products worked quite well for me though iWhite Skin Nose Pack is the most effective.

7. Soft & Clean Cotton Pads

I've been using these during the lockdown. It's specially great in helping me put toner on my skin because the pads don't absorb the majority of the product. This is better to use compared to cotton balls which may absorb more product than necessary.

Online Shopping using Watsons Application

Due to the lockdown, I found it difficult to get Contact Lenses solution because my favorite optical stores, Ideal Vision and Executive Optical weren`t in operation.

I was so happy when I found out that Watsons online is selling eye care solutions. At the time that I checked the app, which was on April 30, they had contact lenses solution and alcohol available for sale. I immediately checked out to make sure that before I go to work after the lockdown, I won't have any problems with seeing properly because my eyeglasses recently got damaged.

It's great that I chatted Watsons on Facebook and their live chat on their website before assuming the order was cancelled because reading many of the comments on their Facebook page state that a lot of orders were automatically cancelled. 

It's also always good to check Watsons social media pages for any updates in regards to shopping in their site and app.

Fortunately, Watsons called me on June 03 to check if I'd like to proceed with the order giving me the chance to cancel it. Since I already have all the necessities included in my Watsons order, I decided not to get it. Then, I was informed to use their number for faster transaction in the future which I'm absolutely happy about. 

Though I wasn`t able to successfully shop online at Watsons, I`m still happy that I got most of the items I needed during the lockdown since Watsons` physical stores remained open. The Watsons app and website was experiencing some heavy web traffic since a lot of consumers are unable to go in stores. Nonetheless, I have yet to try out the app during normal business operations.

I sincerely hope that the Covid-19 virus will soon come to an end or at least be easily curable. Each and everyone of us has different coping mechanisms, whether it`s learning new dishes, dancing on Tiktok, being crafty, blogging or vlogging, studying or working online at home, or focusing on self-care,  being ready physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially will definitely help a lot of us fight this virus together.
