Grace`s Open Book: Notes during Quarantine

Hello, everyone!

Grace`s Open Book: Notes during Quarantine

How are you holding up? For most people, the days during the enhanced community lock down were some of the hardest. I can`t say otherwise because not being able to work the way I used to was specially saddening for me. I`ve always tried my best to work hard and work smart and when I`m presented with some limitations to be able to do that, it becomes a real challenge. The positive side of being locked down or in quarantine was that I was able to take notes of significant changes I ought to apply in my life.

As my readers, I would love to share with you basic yet life-changing notes I wrote while facing the financial, emotional and spiritual challenges during a lock down:

Note #1: Finances

Thankfully, doing those viral challenges for saving up like Peso Sense Ipon Challenge, and Mr. Chinkee Tan`s Ipon Challenge has helped me tremendously when I needed funds the most though it`s not much. This lock down is genuinely an eye opener how significant every cent is.

I remember reading Mr. Robert Sy Tan`s "What Would You Do? If This Was Your Last Day On Earth", Mr. Don Soriano`s "Break Free" and many books about budgeting, attending a financial seminar, and discussing with my older sister about money management. All these books and effort would be wasted if not put into action.

5 Wise Financial Learnings during the Covid-19 Lockdown | by The Graceful Mist (www.TheGracefulMist.com)

The on-going Pandemic has put a pause on many people`s plans including mine. I was on "no work, no pay" for 2 1/2 months hence the stop of regular financial provision. Thankfully, my company provided some financial assistance as well through conversion of remaining leave credits and prorated 13th month pay. If only I didn`t start saving during the start of the year, I would`ve also been doomed and on a forced diet. Fortunately, that isn`t the case for me though sadly to say many people can`t say the same

Being on the lockdown for more than 2 months has made me truly realize these 5 significant financial moves to do now that I`m back to work again which I would love to share with all of you to make sure that we`ll all never lack financially in the future:

Grace's Open Book: Notes of Resolution

Grace's Open Book: Notes of Resolution (by @TheGracefulMist | www.TheGracefulMist.com)

When it feels like nobody understands, just know that you can just take it in. There will come a day, it'll all make sense without the need for explanation. Nobody knows and walks your journey better than you do anyway.

Grace's Open Book: Hopefully Content

Grace`s Open Book (The Graceful Mist Online Diary) - Hopefully Content (written by Kathryn Grace) - www.TheGracefulMist.com - Top Lifestyle Blog and Website in Metro Manila, Philippines - Filipina Blogger
Grace`s Open Book: Hopefully Content

She strolls around, wandering through the chaos that surrounds. She exhales and she inhales, over and over. Her heart beats.

Her eyes open and close. They blink through the hiatus. All her eyes see are the blurry lines. Droplets of sighs made their way into the confines of her lonely heart.

The wheels around her merrily go round and round yet the stirs of her heart wearily beat and beat.

She continuously looks at the sky, hopefully to fly yet she can never bid goodbye.

She smiles though her heart is aching. She loves though she feels unloved. She cares though she feels like nobody cares.

She looks at the sky and she's grateful. Atleast she has that One who actually cares. She wishes she can really feel His loving arms around her right now. But for now, she's contented to keep her palms together.

Grace`s Open Book: "Every Beginning"

"Every Beginning"

Five days have passed since that symbolic date,
Yet all that I`ve begun is wander about my fate.
View of unresolved uncertainty
Still creeps my eternity

Grace`s Open Book: Writings over Speeches

Grace`s Open Book: Writings Over Speeches (by @TheGracefulMist | www.TheGracefulMist.com)

Deep within the soul of a still insecure young woman like me is a very quiet and gentle soul. My aspiration to just hold the pen and write out thoughts to simply deliver without that noisy vexation full of pretenses is very strong. However, normal and societal demands often get in the way of the peaceful slumber I long to lay down with. As I go through life’s daily hustle and bustle, I often ask myself if the distractions to the soul are worth a so-called “normal” life. If normal meant blurredness to one’s own undisturbed self-awareness, I might just take a lonesome path to uniqueness and seclusion.

Beyond the Comfort Zone | Sharing a Part of Me

Beyond the Comfort Zone, Sharing a Part of Me by @TheGracefulMist (Read at www.TheGracefulMist.com)

During the past few weeks, I`ve been getting the vibe that it was time to share a part of me to the people around my real life. Sharing a blog, a part of one`s self, is not an easy thing to do for a person like me living a reserved and guarded life. However, I`ve been noticing that to actually be successful in blogging and writing, I needed the right readers and sincere supporters.
